As we enjoy the holiday season at year's end, we hope each of you will be conscientious in sharing your love and gratitude with those around you. The joys of life are often built on our relationships with others; and the holiday seasons serve to remind us of their importance in our lives. We are so deeply grateful for the connections we have formed through Kidney Companions in 2024. We have seen many successes this year. We added four new Kidney Companion partners this year, and of those new additions, one is actively listed and one of whom got a new kidney in November! After several years of hard work, we also saw one of our long-standing Kidney Companion partners finally achieve success with becoming actively listed. We saw an incredible rally of support and remarkable recovery for one of our transplanted Kidney Companion partners who had a prolonged critical illness. This year produced success with our Kidney Companions walking program, which should serve as a foundation for growth in 2025. Finally, we have received financial donations from many of you which profoundly drives our mission. We are especially touched when you choose to contribute to Kidney Companions in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special connection. We wish all of you a joyful and peaceful holiday season, and we look forward to seeing you in 2025 (and perhaps this Thursday at our monthly social)!
