Here we will provide updates, highlight the people within Kidney Companions, and share stories and actions you can take in a broader community.

As another year comes to an end, it is a good time to reflect with gratitude on our successes of 2025. First, it all starts with our incredible, selfless volunteers who collectively drove more than 6,500 miles, attended more than 20 appointments, and had 6 overnight stays. All of this commitment was in support of our Kidney Companions - both for our established partners and the 3 new partners we added in 2025. Each year we continue to slowly grow our footprint, as 2025 saw us expand our outreach beyond Traverse City and Kalkaska and into the Mancelona area. As a result of all the miles driven, appointments attended, social gatherings, and hotels stayed, two of our Kidney Companions received new kidneys in 2025! We truly reflect in awe at what Kidney Companions has achieved thanks to all of this hard work in 2025.
